During the final interview, we had Sophie complete another Performance Profile and Competitive State Anxiety Inventory. The results were as follows;

When compared to the original performance profile, we can see an improvement of +1 in 'refocusing after errors' and +2 in 'self-confidence'. We also saw an increase in enjoyment by 1.

Cognitive state anxiety: 23/36 (Scored 27 in the first interview, 25 in the second)

Somatic State anxiety: 14/36 (Scored 16 in the first and second interviews)

Self-confidence: 23/36 (Scored 21 in the first and second interviews)

These results showed us that Sophie's cognitive and somatic state anxiety decreased slightly throughout the intervention, while her self-confidence increased.

Without being aware of these numerical changes in the profile results, Sophie reported a significant, positive change in her resilience and self-confidence, in relation to her hockey match performance. She also mentioned that her coach had pointed out an improvement in this to her. Sophie is still within the action phase, but working well towards the maintenance phase (Stages of Change) and is currently not showing any signs of relapse. We believe Sophie is now capable of individually implemeting these strategies to continue improving her resilience and confidence.
