To begin the second interview, we asked Sophie to again fill out both the Cognitive State Anxiety Inventory and the Performance Profile. She did this without knowing what her previous responses were. Responses and changes from the first interview are shown below;

From these values we see a slight improvement in self-confidence, with an improvement of +1
Cognitive state anxiety: 25/36 (Scored 27/36 from the first interview)
Somatic state anxiety: 15/36 (Same score as the first interview)
Self-confidence: 21/36 (Same score as the first interview)
We saw a slight increase in self confidence in the Performance Profile but no change in the self-confidence section of the Competitive State Anxiety Inventory. Although we did see a decrease in cognitive state anxiety in the inventory. No other changes were observed from these Motivational Evaluation Tools.
During the second interview, Sophie explained how she had been working on the issue, using the strategies we discussed during the first interview. It was clear that progress was being made, but there were still multiple times when she found herself disheartened and unmotivated following an error during game play. These characteristics are parallel with that of someone in the Action Phase (stages of change).
After this discussion, we decided to shift our approach to focus more on Sophie herself, for her to work on strategies that she would take with her after the intervention, as this is extremely important. Sophie agreed that this kind of approach would suit her. We came to the agreement that she had the skills and motivation to implement change.
